One of the better bars in Morpeth, it's not too big inside but holds alot of character. The bar has a massive variety of drinks and the few I've had where fantastic. Some very lovely and helpful staff add to this. The prices are quite high but that's to be somewhat expected being in Morpeth. They have a beautiful little beer garden round the back decorated wonderfully. They also host live music some nights and you can hire a charming little outhouse in the beer garden for party's and gatherings.

We ate here today for my wife’s birthday and cannot recommend it enough. We’ll definitely eat here again. Adults and children loved the food. The crispy chicken burger, garlic coriander sauce king prawns and the scampi were excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Decor is lovely and we enjoyed playing darts while we waited (and we didn’t have to wait long).

Excellent service by the staff. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Food and Drinks were both lovely and very reasonably priced. Very accessible only downside being there is no disabled access toilet. However, overall a really positive experience. Thank you

A positively thriving atmosphere coupled with stellar homemade food made my experience at The Black & Grey an extremely enjoyable one! I ordered Tempura expecting frozen food and instead I received audibly crispy tempura and a healthy portion of fries alongside it all for 12! To say I was pleased was an understatement. There was a pub quiz on too, the quizmaster was brilliant and all attendees were a joy to be around. All in all I can whole heartedly recommend this contemporary pub to anyone who's interested in cheap, high quality food and who enjoy a lively atmosphere!
